The Macarthur Collegians Cycling Club is located in Sydney's southwestern suburbs, specifically the Campbelltown, Narellan and Camden area. With over 100 members currently, Macarthur Collegians is a progressive club that caters for all rider levels. Regular training rides are held each Saturday or Sunday mornings. Membership is not limited to the Macarthur district alone, with some members from Penrith, Liverpool and beyond. (see more.....)

Recognition of Brodie and Josie by CNSW (16/05/2013)

At the recent AGM for Cycling NSW, our own Brodie Talbot was named Cycling New South Wales Roadman of the year.

Not to be outdone, Josie was named the winner of the Cycling New South Wales U17 Women Road Series. More details here.

Change of Venue/Date for the May Monthly Meeting (13-05-2013)

All MCCC members,

In an effort to increase attendance to the monthly meetings, please be advised that the meeting scheduled for Tuesday May 14th at the Catholic Club has been moved to Sunday May 19th.

The meeting will take place directly after the Club Championship Time Trial at Menangle and will be held at the Campbelltown Golf Club (Google Maps link here), with a nominal start time of 10:30am.

This is a great opportunity for members to attend the meeting to determine the direction of the club, whilst enjoying a cup of coffee from the club house.

Michael Gleeson takes a fall. (28/04/2013)

Michael Gleeson took a fairly severe tumble out at Oakdale on Sunday morning. Suffering from facial injuries and possible concussion, he spent the night in hospital under observation.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery Michael.

New Race Marshal Groups Roster. (22/04/2013)

Members are required to review the roster to ensure they are able to fulfill their duties on that day.

New race location - Ridge Rd at Oakdale (19/04/2013)

All,

Thanks to the hard work of Michael Gleeson and the MCCC Exec, we now have a new race location to test our skills and tactics.

Approval has been given for us to hold races on Ridge Rd at Oakdale. The course is an undulating 11km out and back affair, with a smooth surface that is sure to produce fast racing.

Directions to the start are as follows -

Turn onto Burragorang Rd from Camden Valley Way and drive for 17.9km then turn right onto Steveys Forest Rd. Drive for 2.5km. Steveys Forest Rd will veer to the right, but keep left for another 500 meters until you come to Ridge Rd on the right. The start line is about 200 meters along Ridge Rd.

In addition to the new course, the Exec has decided to trial winter racing again. Race dates during winter are: -

April 28th at Oakdale

May 19th at Menangle (ITT)

June 9th at Oakdale

July 7th and 21st at Oakdale

August 4th at Razorback (Hill Climb ITT)

September 1st at Menangle (Scratch race)

The date for the next meeting is Sunday May 19th at the Campbelltown Golf Club, immediately following the Club Championship ITT at Menangle.
