MCCC members ride from Adelaide to Uluru

Well not quite......

Warren Porteous and son Scott have just completed a road trip from Adelaide to Uluru........................by car. Apparantly they had every intention to do more riding along the way but ......... well we will let Wazza finish the tale,

" Well ya see here's the funny thing, we rode in Gawler 60k's then drove 1500k's to Uluru, did one lap and the bikes never came out of the trailer again. The thing is we thought we could set off each morning, have James catch us up and then travel on to next camp BUT the Triple Road Trains are just the biggest wind suck you've ever seen. We'd have gone in the front and came out as mush! We also carried half a trailer of fire wood for those cold desert nights and never used any. Fire bans at all camping grounds! aaaaaggggghhh. After three thousand k's that wood has seen a lot ! "
